Camping Times

I like camping. My favorite part, honestly, is just being outside. I’ve read that our ancestors spent something like 70% of their lives outdoors, and now we’re down to just 7%. I could probably easily add another 30% more if I built an outdoor kitchen or something.

Anyway, so why I like camping….there’s something about stepping out of the tent in the morning, trees all around you, smell of the crisp air and just being like, "Here we go."

In this modern world, we need breaks. We need moments where we pull away from the comfort in our lives and get some disruption of the normal routine. Like a reset. My favorite moment is when I’m with my boys at night and they get a little nervous when the darkness falls. There’s this moment where you very much miss the safety of home but at the same time realize how lucky you are to have a home.

And there’s some built-in gratitude with camping too. Like, you're out there brushing your teeth in the woods with a cup. Gotta eat whatever comes off the fire. Deal with any weather. Bring minimal supplies or entertainment.

If you’re ever camping around here, I’ve got a secret list of spots—mapped out all the good ones. DM me and I’ll send it your way.

I think I was supposed to tie this into business somehow, but... yeah, not gonna do that. Alright, peace.
